Donations for Hoops

Students and volunteers at Meadows Elementary School are working together to brighten the lives of children in the hospital.

The project is run in cooperation with Meadows Local School Improvement Council and Hoops Children’s Hospital.  The students are collecting art supplies and small comforts to help children cope with their hospital stay.  Items being collected include glitter, crayons, coloring books and cheerful bandages.

The donations will be presented to Hoops representative, Velma Chapman, Monday, February 19, 2018 at 9:00 AM in the school gymnasium.

The children’s hospital collection is just one part of a week-long celebration February 12 through 16, 2018.  Below is a complete list of the week’s events.

All week- Students will collect glitter, glue, crayons, coloring books and arts and craft supplies for donation.
Tuesday- Wear a tie to school to show you are tied together with kindness.
Wednesday- Wear pink or red for Valentine's Day to show love.
Thursday- Students will collect character bandages.
Friday- Students will reflect on all the wonderful acts of kindness they have done.
